Weather the Fort is an outdoor, family-friendly, winter festival with live music, interactive art, ice carvers, fire dancers, alcoholic beverages, food, and many other activities. The best part is that it is FREE for everyone to attend because of all of our amazing sponsors! We know it’s winter, but that’s the beauty of Weather the Fort. Join us for a memorable evening on The Landing in Downtown Fort Wayne in February, 2025!
Admission: Weather the Fort is a FREE event, that’s right, FREE. This is possible due to all our amazing sponsors!
Age restrictions: Weather the Fort is open to all ages! Every person interested in purchasing alcoholic beverages will be required to have a valid I.D.
Entry: Entry Points will be on Harrison Street and Calhoun Street with the stage on the Calhoun Street side of The Landing.
Parking: There are parking spaces on the street if you can find them and also nearby parking garages available for use. As a reminder, street parking is available for FREE on the weekends.
Security: Yes, there will be police and security on duty at Weather the Fort. If you see or have any issues, please let one of them know. You can also notify someone with a Weather the Fort badge for assistance.
Beverages: Domestic and craft local beers, hot mulled wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, provided by Dana’s and Night Train, Be Better Hospitality’s latest business ventures set to open on The Landing in early 2024. As adults, we ask that you please drink responsibly. This also includes finding a safe way to get home. Downtown Fort Wayne and our bartenders reserve the right to stop serving anyone we feel has had too much to consume or is misbehaving. Our security and the Fort Wayne Police Department also have the right to remove you from the event. All drinks purchased inside the event on The Landing must stay inside the event on The Landing.
Food: We will just be serving drinks this year. With all of the amazing restaurants on The Landing, show them some love and stop by for some delicious local fare.
Weather: We started this festival knowing most likely it was going to be cold, windy, and snowing. Unless of an extreme weather emergency, the event will go on, snow or shine! Please dress appropriately.
Pets: We are pet friendly but know there will be crowds, children, loud music, & ice carving. All pets must be on a leash at all times. Please be conscious of the weather and ice as it may be too cold for pets to be walking outside for a lengthy period, and other than service dogs, they are not allowed inside the stores and restaurants on The Landing.
